About Pegasus Equine Diagnostics
PED is based at BioCity Nottingham, a groundbreaking veterinary bioscience company, founded to provide practical applications of scientific research for improvement of animal welfare.
The Company was founded in 2004, following success in developing a neuroendocrine
theory of aging for horses and associated model of disease onset. PED provides
the first pre-emptive diagnostics for Cushingoid horses and is developing nutraceutical
and pharmaceutical treatment options.
Current research: equine circadian and circannual hormone and neurohormone models,
biogenic amine and platelet associations in equine laminitis.
